Adelati Ltd (“we”) sells groceries as Adelat African Food Store from 113 Commercial Street, Newport NP20 1LW. This notice explains what we collect when you use adelatfoods.co.uk.

What we collect

To take an order we need your name, email, phone number, and, for delivery, your address and postcode. We also keep the items, the slot, and the status of the order. Card details are entered on the payment page and are not stored on this website.

Why

We use those details to take payment, pack the order, deliver or hand it over, send the confirmation and status emails, and keep the records a shop needs for tax and disputes. The lawful bases are contract, and legal obligation for the records we have to keep.

Who else sees it

Our card payment provider processes the payment. If you choose delivery, the courier receives the delivery address, your name and phone number, and any note you left. Our email provider sends the order messages. We do not sell your details.

How long

Order records are kept for up to six years, which covers ordinary accounting needs. You can ask us to delete a marketing note sooner. We will not delete a record we still need for tax or a live dispute.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your order details, a correction, or erasure where the law allows it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Write to hello@adelatfoods.co.uk.
