Terms of sale

These terms cover grocery orders placed with Adelati Ltd, company no. 15774477, registered office 88a Christchurch Road, Newport, Wales, NP19 7SJ, trading as Adelat African Food Store at 113 Commercial Street, Newport NP20 1LW, Wales.

The contract

A product page is an invitation to treat. The contract starts when we confirm that payment has been received. Prices are in pounds sterling. Most basic food is zero-rated for VAT; if a product is taxable, the price shown is the price you pay.

What we sell

Groceries only. We do not sell cooked food or hot meals. Stock is limited. If an item sells out before payment is confirmed, we will not take payment for it.

Delivery and collection

Delivery is available where a courier can quote for the address. The fee, any free-delivery offer, and the minimum order are shown before you pay. Click & collect is from the shop and has no delivery fee. Orders placed while we are closed, or after the last-order time, are packed for the next slot we offer.

Allergens

Allergen information is on the product page and on your order. You are responsible for checking it before you buy and before you eat. The shop handles many ingredients; we cannot promise a nut-free or gluten-free environment.

Faulty goods

If something is faulty, not as described, or unfit, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies. Email hello@adelatfoods.co.uk with your order number and we will repair the problem with a replacement or a refund.
