Returns

Grocery orders from Adelat African Food Store are distance sales. You normally have 14 days to change your mind about goods bought at a distance, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. That right does not cover goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Fresh produce, chilled food, frozen food, and anything we have already packed for a same-day slot will not be taken back once it has left the shop, unless it is faulty or not what you ordered.

Sealed, long-life groceries that you have not opened can be returned within 14 days of receiving them. They need to be in a resaleable condition. Contact us first so we can tell you where to bring them. The cost of sending a change-of-mind return back to the shop is yours unless we delivered the wrong item.

If food is damaged, off, or not as described, tell us as soon as you can, with the order number and a photo if you have one. We will replace it or refund you under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the delivery fee when the whole order is refunded.
